Zeno

Is the Zeno machine really the best way to a clear complexion?  With so many options, it is important to consider what you are really getting.  I will evaluate what Zeno offers you.

The little aluminum machine known as Zeno, is a marketed as somewhat of a miracle acne treatment.  The hand-held, rechargeable device is used to basically “zap” or burn up one zit at a time.  The machine needs to be charged and then held over the pimple for about 2.5 minutes at a time in order to kill the bacteria that may be causing it.

A few important things to know about this device:

  • Because of safety issues and the settings on the device, it can only be used 3 times every 15 minutes.
  • According to the user guide, it doesn’t work at all for blackheads, whiteheads, or similar problems. It only works for red, recently inflamed pimple bumps.
  • The tip used to burn the zits is only good for 90 cycles and is $30 for each replacement, which is very expensive.

As different people have skin that reacts in different ways, this product has mixed reviews as far as its effectiveness.  It has been known to work very well for some people, but is not recommended for people with moderate to severe acne problems.

After the initial $200 to buy this thing (which is very expensive for this kind of treatment), you’ll have to cough up $30 each time you need a replacement tip.  A tip that only lasts 90 times?  It almost seems like a pulling more money out of you if you ask me.

Conclusion

Even though it has gotten some good reviews and has been known to be effective in certain cases, I do not recommend Zeno. This machine is extremely pricey and is only good for a specific kind of pimple and there are certainly more effective treatments with better value out there.
