Rodan and Fields UNBLEMISH

Is Rodan and Fields UNBLEMISH the right product for your skin?  I will highlight of the active ingredients and let you decide for yourself.

The Package is 3 Steps:

1.    Acne Treatment Sulfur Wash – Uses Sulfur, which has been historically used to treat psoriasis, eczema and acne. Though it is effective in some cases, how it may work is not even known scientifically.

2.    Clarifying Toner – This is a pretty basic toner, using witch hazel, glycolic acid, and a number of other synthetic ingredients.  This doesn’t stand out from anything generic you can buy anywhere.

3.    Acne Benzoyl Peroxide Treatment – Uses 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide, which is generally considered safe at low concentrations, but is known for common side effects such as hives, swelling of the face, itching, and dry and peeling skin. OUCH! It is also a powerful bleaching agent and will cause discoloration when it comes in contact with clothing.

Pricing

The UNBLEMISH acne package weighs in at a whopping $100. This is a ridiculous price to pay for the common and often harsh chemicals you are getting with this product.

Conclusion

Though some of the ingredients have been proven effective in some cases, they often come with harsh side-effects and could be bought at a much cheaper price in a more generic product.  I do not recommend Rodan and Fields UNBLEMISH.
