In most cases ,diseases happen because of how healthy you are. If you are unhealthy your immune system can’t fight illness, where as if you are healthy you seem to never get ill. To keep your skin healthy, is to keep your body healthy. Like they say, “You are what you eat!” I say this because you’ve probably tried millions of anti-acne creams and treatments and nothing seems to work. This is true because most topical creams don’t get to the underlying skin layers where the issue starts. Epiduo however claims that it gets to the root of the problem.
How Epiduo works?
It is a compound made up of 2 ingredients that are famously known to fight acne. Epiduo is an anti-acne gel that says with it’s combination of products it makes acne disappear. Epiduo is requested to only apply once daily. Epiduo has to have a prescription for purchase. This means that you need to see a dermatologist for it’s use. This can be scary because usually anything prescribed from a doctor is heavily medicated and can have side effects.
Epiduo’s Ingredients
- Benzoyl Peroxide: is a chemical that can reach deep down in your pores and works as an anti bacterial agent fighting off dead skin and dirt. However Benzoyl Peroxide has many side effects if overused. It can dry out your skin, leaving it flaky and red. It also can cause more inflammation.
- Adapalene: Is the ingredient that supposedly prevents future breakouts. It’s exact facts are unclear but it does show improvement in rejuvenating and renewing skin. It has many side effects and has to be prescribed by a doctor.
Your skin is already affected strongly by chemicals and pollutants. It’s important to consult with a doctor whenever you are dealing with application of chemicals on your skin.
Epiduo’s price:
First, you have consult with a dermatologist. Seeking medical advice for your face is smart but can be pricey. Epiduo can also cost $35 dollars or more depending on where you get your prescription.
Recommendation
Epiduo may work against acne. It sounds really harsh for your skin and seems like damaged skin can be an outcome. I wouldn’t risk using such harsh products on my face. Destroyed cells can stay damaged for life. I do like how Epiduo repeatedly warns you to meet with a doctor. Acne is a skin condition and should be treated properly, so it is always a good thing to meet with a professional when dealing with any skin treatments.
