Clear5
Does Clear5 really work? For only $15 a bottle, it seems like it could be a good deal if it did work. I did some research and decided to report what I found.
Clear5 relies on the claims that its key ingredient, Vitamin B5 or Pantothenic Acid, is an effective treatment for acne. They rely on a study done in the late 90s which showed positive results, though reviews of Clear5 itself are much more mixed from what I’ve seen.
The study actually done on Vitamin B5 had less than 100 subjects, and all of them were Asian. This is significant as different races have naturally occurring differences in their skin. There have been no other studies which have shown a correlation between Vitamin B5 and acne treatment and few if any dermatologists recommend it as a treatment.
On the site, it lists a few common reasons why Clear5 fails, as if they are blaming you for their faulty product. In one part it explains “if you do not see results within 2 weeks, you may need a higher dosage.” It seems that the $15 is only a lure and you will end up paying a lot more before you see some, if any results at all.
Conclusion
At $15, this isn’t the most expensive mistake you could make, so if you are feeling luck I say give it a shot. But be ready to not see any results.
